Ryobi’s most powerful 18v battery – the 5.0Ah 18v Lithium battery is claimed by Ryobi to be capable of driving 1550 4 x 32mm screws on a single charge using its R18DD3 18v Cordless Drill/Driver. This is a good performance when compared to the least powerful battery in the range the Ryobi 18V 1.3AH Lithium Battery RB18L13 which took only drive 380 screws in the same test.
Ryobi also claim it can cut 100m of 13mm plywood using Ryobi’s R18CS-0 18v Cordless Circular Saw. Though as with all batteries these runs times are indicative and can change depending on the tools used, the application and even individual batteries.
It has a a very nice ‘fuel gauge’ showing the remaining power in four stages – 100%, 75%, 50% and 25% which is very handy. The battery isn’t too heavy, at 748 Grams, and has been designed with impact protection to help stop it being damaged from being knocked and dropped.
